Springtime in the gardens

After some much better weather this April things are finally starting to warm up, and dry off!

The usual spring flowers are looking good around the gardens, including Cherry blossom, Camellia, Barberry and Forsythia, and in the ponds the Water Hawthorn are still in bloom.

We have been able to reopen the northern part of the gardens again. The ground is still soft underfoot, and the picnic area is still waterlogged and inaccessible currently, it will need another week or two before we can open that area.

It is still not possible to allow wheelchairs, pushchairs, buggy’s or similar to access any of the gardens, the ground is still too soft.

Our apologies for any inconvenience during this time, and thank you for your understanding.

We have low season admission rates until May 10th.
